Terms And Conditions

 

Identification Card
All our drivers will carry an Identification Card. You can ask to view this at any time. You have the right to refuse collection or delivery if the driver cannot produce his/her Identification Card. Click here for an example.

 

Congestion & Toll Charges
There will be an extra charge when passing through tolls (e.g. Humber Bridge, Tyne Tunnel), this will be charged accordingly.

 


Payment Requirements
Payment must be made in cash or cheque on completion. Cheques must be made out to Mr Andrew Earnshaw.

 

Arrival / Delivery Times
We will do our best to arrive within the time scale stated, however arrival times are estimated. Delays to pick-up/delivery times are sometimes unavoidable (due to traffic accidents, weather, mechanical problems, etc). We do not accept any responsibility for any customer losses due to unforeseen or out of our control delivery/pick-up delays.

 

Changes in Item Numbers
You may incur extra charges if the actual amount of items on the day exceeds the amount of items that were included in your quote, a couple of items more would not normally cause an issue, however if you have under-estimated your items by more than this we will add on an extra charge depending on the amount of items and time taken to load them. If you have grossly under-estimated or have been misleading about the amount of items you have, we have the right to refuse collection and delivery on the day.

 

Your Packing Responsibilities
We accept no responsibility for damage or breakage to items that have not been packed / protected by adequate means.

It is the customers responsibility to dismantle any items too big to fit through doors or around corners, e.g. beds. This should be done before we arrive.

It is the customers responsibility to ensure that items will fit in the new premises (e.g. size of sofa and size of aperture). We will not be able to remove doors or windows in such cases and it is up to the customer to organise this if needed.

 

Awkward Access
You will incur extra charges if you have not informed us of awkward access. Awkward access can include, no vehicle access, no parking available in close proximity to the property and cramped stair and hallway conditions where large items of furniture such as sofas will not fit.

 

Unforeseen Circumstances
We reserve the right to add extra costs due to any unforeseen circumstances. (e.g. waiting for keys to gain entry, incorrect addresses, removal of windows, etc).

 

Postponement or Cancellation
If you need to postpone or cancel, please make sure you give us at least 48 hours notice. If you postpone or cancel within 48hours of the date of the job you will be charged 10% of the job estimate. I reserve the right to cancel or change dates and times.

 

Abuse
Verbal or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated. If we are forced to leave the job because of abuse from the customer, verbal or otherwise, the customer will still be liable to pay in full.

 

Injury
If for any reason you are injured during the moving process or collection & delivery process in any way, we cannot be held responsible. If you feel as though you will not be able to help lift certain heavy or large items please arrange help in advance as we cannot lift heavy or large items on our own.

 

 

Breakages
We cannot be held responsible for any breakages or damaged items. Utmost care will be taken to prevent this happening, but on very rare occasions accidents can happen.
